The North Country Trail Association is generously hosting the 11th Conference and the Pacific Crest Trail Association is processing the registration. You must mail your registration by August 17th! The Full Conference Registration package includes the conference fee and 9 meals. There are additional fees for the dinner cruise, field trips and the pre-conference capacity building workshop.

The Holiday Inn & Suites, the site of the 11th Trails Conference, is located in downtown Duluth. Two indoor swimming pools, saunas, fitness center, voicemail, wireless Internet are among the amenities provided by the Holiday Inn. Rooms are available at a special Conference rate (at government rate) of $87 plus tax per night for single or double-occupancy until August 7th. You must make your own room reservation by calling 800-477-7089 or 218-722-1202. Or online at www.hiduluth.com using the group booking code “TRL”. If you call for reservations, identify yourself as a participant in the Partnership for National Trails Conference. The Holiday Inn offers free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, just look for the shuttle service phone at the Duluth Airport.

Discounted airfare for the Conference is available with Northwest Airlines (NWA). This airport code is DLH. When purchasing your tickets online, follow these instructions: On the Flights tab, click on “NWA Discount Travel E-Cert Redemption” which is located at the bottom. On the Flight Search screen, click Login. Enter your WorldPerks number or Continue to login as Guest. Complete the Flight Search section and navigate to the bottom where you will see “Do you have an E-Cert Fare, electronic voucher or meeting agreement?” Select type: Meeting agreement, Enter: WorldFile NYU9C to receive the discount.

Midwest Airlines also now services the Duluth airport three times a day.

Register early and SAVE $50! The Conference Registration Fee is $365 if your registration is postmarked by August 17th. After August 17th add a $50 late fee to your registration.

Full refunds will be given for cancellations made on or before August 17th; between August 17th and August 31th payments except registration fee will be refunded; Cancellation refunds after August 31st are subject to negotiation.

Weather in Duluth will be partly sunny with 50° to 60° days and cool nights. Come prepared for breezy weather lakeside with a wind breaker jacket.
